Das Goldbekhaus in Hamburg-Winterhude sucht eine*n professionelle*n Künstler*in im Exil in Hamburg für eine Kooperation zur Kreislaufgesellschaft im Rahmen des INTRO-Förderprogramms der Behörde für Kultur und Medien Hamburg.

Wir sind Teil eines dreijährigen, EU-geförderten Projekts zur Förderung von zirkulärem Denken und Handeln im Stadtteil – mit einem Fokus auf Materialkreisläufe, Lebensmittel, Wasser, Reparatur, Ressourcenverantwortung und solidarisches Miteinander. Unser Ziel ist es, Aspekte einer Kreislaufgesellschaft gemeinsam mit der Nachbarschaft künstlerisch und gesellschaftlich erfahrbar zu machen.

Was wir bieten:

• Eine offizielle Kooperation im INTRO-Programm für bis zu 12 Monate
• Monatliches Stipendium von bis zu 1.500 € + Sachkostenzuschuss
• Zugang zu unseren Räumen, Werkzeugen, Netzwerken und Kommunikationskanälen
• Unterstützung bei der Projektentwicklung, Nachbarschaftseinbindung und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit
• Ein engagiertes, kollegiales Team mit starker Verankerung im Quartier

Wen wir suchen:

• Eine*n in Hamburg lebende*n Künstler*in im Exil (z. B. aus politischen Gründen oder aufgrund von Krieg oder Repression)
• Interesse an den Themen Kreislaufgesellschaft, Nachhaltigkeit, Ressourcenschonung, soziale Teilhabe
• Offenheit für partizipative Ansätze mit Menschen aus der Nachbarschaft
• Alle künstlerischen Sparten sind willkommen: Bildende Kunst, Performance, Design, Installation, spartenübergreifend etc.

Call for Hamburg-based Artist in Exile – Collaboration on Circular Society Project (INTRO Program)

Goldbekhaus, a cultural community center in Hamburg-Winterhude, is looking for a professional artist in exile, currently based in Hamburg, for a cooperation within the INTRO program by the Hamburg Ministry of Culture.

As part of a 3-year EU Interreg-funded project, we are working to strengthen circular practices in our neighborhood – not only economically, but also socially and ecologically. Our focus is on materials, food, water, repair, resource awareness, and solidarity. The aim is to explore and shape aspects of a circular society through artistic and participatory means.

We offer:

• Formal cooperation within the INTRO program (up to 12 months)
  Monthly stipend of up to €1,500 plus material costs
• Access to spaces, equipment, networks, and communication infrastructure
• Support for project development, community engagement, and public presentation
• A motivated team and a strong local network

We are looking for:

• A Hamburg-based artist in exile (due to war, political persecution, or repression)
• Interest in themes like circular society, sustainability, participation, and resource awareness
• Willingness to engage with local residents and develop participatory approaches
• All artistic disciplines are welcome: visual arts, performance, design, installation, interdisciplinary, etc.

Deadline for contacting us: May 18, 2025. The joint application for INTRO must be submitted by June 2, 2025.
