The masterclass will be taught in English. However, the teachers also speak German and Spanish. Translation assistance is available at any time if you have questions. – Die Masterclass wird auf Englisch unterrichtet. Die Lehrer*innen sprechen jedoch auch Deutsch und Spanisch. Bei Fragen stehen jederzeit Übersetzungshilfe zur Verfügung.

Live, authentisch und inspirierend. Die Masterclass ist offen für Tänzer*innen, Akrobat*innen, Musiker*innen, Schauspieler*innen, Maskenspieler*innen, Improvisateur*innen und bildende Künstler*innen.
Hier erweitern diese ihr künstlerisches Repertoire, entdecken neue Ausdrucksformen und lernen, ihre Kunst in Verbindung mit anderen Disziplinen zu gestalten.
Neben den drei Hauptbereichen, die beleuchtet werden: Bewegung, Vokal Improvisation und Schauspiel, wird es auch kleinere Ausflüge in Kunstformen wie z.B. Poetry Slam geben.
Ein besonderer Bestandteil der Masterclass wird allerdings das Erlernen der multidisziplinären Zeichensprache „Soundpainting“ sein.
Zum Abschluss wird es Samstagabend eine gemeinsame Show geben, in der alle Sparten zu einem neuen Ganzen verschmelzen – ein einzigartiger Ausdruck kollektiver Kreativität.

Was ist Soundpainting?
Das Soundpainting ist eine Technik des improvisierenden Komponierens, die seit 1974 vom New Yorker Komponisten Walter Thompson entwickelt wurde.
Sie ist die universelle multidisziplinäre Live-Kompositionszeichensprache für Musiker*innen, Schauspieler*innen, Tänzer*innen und bildende Künstler*innen. Gegenwärtig (2024) umfasst die Sprache mehr als 1600 Gesten, die vom Soundpainter /Komponist*in gebärdet werden, um die Art des von den Interpreten gewünschten Materials anzugeben.
Der oder die Dirigentin komponiert in Echtzeit und nutzt die Gesten, um die Komposition auf jede gewünschte Weise zu gestalten. Manchmal weiß der/die Soundpainter*in, was er/sie von den Interpreten erhält, und manchmal weiß er es nicht- die Elemente der Spezifität und des Zufalls. So komponiert sie/ er, mit dem, was im Moment passiert, ob erwartet oder nicht.
Dieses Projekt hat im Fokus, unterschiedliche Kunst- und Performancearten zusammen zu bringen. Durch eine Mischung aus internationalen und Hamburger freischaffenden Künstlern und Studierenden, hoffen wir auf einen wertvollen Austausch untereinander. Wollen eine Gemeinschaft schaffen, die an den in anderen Ländern anknüpft, verbindet und Shows gestaltet, die sämtliche Normen brechen und einem dem Atem rauben können.
Unterrichtet wird die Masterclass von Felipe Ortiz (Spoundpainting + Bewegung) und Linda Habitante (Soundpainting + vocal improv) aus Bogota´, die bereits in Südamerika erfolgreich Soundpainting Projekte zu zahlreichen Aufführungen gebracht haben. Ergänzt werden die Themen Schauspiel von Viviane Eggers und Poetry Slam vom Slamer Lennart Hamann Lennart Hamann – SLAMPOOL .

Anforderungen:
Als Improvisationskünstler: Du improvisierst seit mindestens zwei Jahren und trittst regelmäßig auf der Bühne auf.
Als Künstler*in anderer Kunst-/Performanceformen: Bitte bring mindestens ein Jahr regelmäßiges Training und/oder eine professionelle Herangehensweise an deine Kunstform mit.

The masterclass, which lasts three and a half days, is open to dancers, acrobats, musicians, actors, mask performers, improvisers, and visual artists.
Here, they will expand their artistic repertoire, discover new forms of expression, and learn to combine their art with other disciplines—live, authentic, and inspiring.
In addition to the three main areas that will be explored: movement, vocal improvisation, and acting, there will also be smaller excursions into art forms such as poetry slam.
However, a special component of the masterclass will be learning the multidisciplinary sign language “sound painting.”
The masterclass will conclude on Saturday evening with a joint show in which all disciplines merge into a new whole—a unique expression of collective creativity.

What is Soundpainting?
Soundpainting is a technique of improvisational composition developed since 1974 by New York composer Walter Thompson.
It is a universal, multidisciplinary live composition sign language for musicians, actors, dancers, and visual artists. Currently (2024), the language comprises more than 1,600 gestures that are used by the soundpainter/composer to indicate the type of material desired by the performers.
The conductor composes in real time, using the gestures to shape the composition in any way desired. Sometimes the soundpainter knows what he/she will receive from the performers, and sometimes he/she does not—the elements of specificity and chance. Thus, he/she composes with what is happening in the moment, whether expected or not.
This project focuses on bringing together different types of art and performance. Through a mix of international and Hamburg-based freelance artists and students, we hope to foster valuable exchange among participants. We want to create a community that connects with others in other countries, brings people together, and creates shows that break all the rules and take your breath away.

The masterclass will be taught by Felipe Ortiz (sound painting + movement) and Linda Habitante (sound painting + vocal improv) from Bogota, who have already successfully brought sound painting projects to numerous performances in South America. The topics will be complemented by acting with Viviane Eggers and poetry slam with slammer Lennart Hamann Lennart Hamann – SLAMPOOL

Requirements:
As an improvisational artist: You have been improvising for at least two years and perform regularly on stage.
As an artist in other art/performance forms: Please bring at least one year of regular training and/or a professional approach to your art form.

Leitung: Viviane Vanessa Eggers und Felipe Ortiz Viviane Vanessa ist Schauspielerin, Trainerin, Improspielerin und künstlerische Leiterin aus Hamburg. Felipe Ortiz ist Direktor, Schauspieler, Artist, Trainer und Clown from Bogota´, Colombia.
