BeaTogether – Full Mask Workshop: The Silent Body in Expression

We explore the deep connection between silence and the expressive body through the art of full-mask performance. Without the aid of facial expressions or spoken words, participants will discover how they can convey emotions, tell stories, and captivate an audience through their physical presence alone.
This workshop will focus on full masks, which are known from the work of Keith Johnstone, among others. The scene work will take place without words.
Felipe Ortiz will teach in easy-to-understand English.

„Vollmaske“: Der stumme Körper im Ausdruck. Wir erforschen die tiefe Verbindung zwischen Stille und dem ausdrucksstarken Körper durch die Kunst der Vollmasken-Performance. Ohne die Hilfe von Gesichtsausdruck oder gesprochenen Worten werden die Teilnehmer entdecken, wie sie allein durch ihre körperliche Präsenz Emotionen vermitteln, Geschichten erzählen und ein Publikum fesseln können.

In diesem WS werden Vollmasken im Fokus stehen, die u.a. aus der Arbeit Keith Johnstones bekannt sind. Die Szenenarbeit wird ohne Worte stattfinden.
Felipe Ortiz wird in leicht verständlichem Englisch unterrichten.

Leitung: Felipe Ortiz ist Direktor, Schauspieler, Artist, Trainer und Clown from Bogota´, Colombia. Er ist Gründungsmitglied von La Gata Circo und Picnic Impro in Bogotá. Neben seinem Studium als Clown und Buffon in Paris begann er schon früh, sich mit Improvisation und Akrobatik zu beschäftigen.
